Barre Instructor
Ember Wellness Studio is a boutique wellness sanctuary where movement is about more than exercise—it's about helping people build strength, confidence, and a sustainable practice that supports their whole life. Our small class sizes allow instructors to create meaningful connections while delivering exceptional client experience.
We're looking for instructors who are passionate about teaching, committed to continued learning, and excited to be part of a supportive wellness community.
Position Summary
As an Barre Instructor, you'll lead safe, engaging, and welcoming classes while creating an experience that reflects Ember's thoughtful, community-centered approach to wellness. Beyond teaching movement, you'll help cultivate an environment where every client feels seen, encouraged, and empowered.
Responsibilities
Lead Barre classes according to the published studio schedule.
Arrive at least 15 minutes before each class to prepare the studio and welcome clients.
Provide clear instruction, appropriate modifications, and a safe learning environment.
Check clients into class using Momence.
Process purchases when needed, including memberships, class packages, retail products, and gift cards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional studio before and after each class.
Reset equipment and prepare the space for the following instructor.
Communicate client concerns, maintenance issues, or other important observations to studio management promptly.
Represent Ember Wellness Studio with professionalism, warmth, and integrity.
Qualifications
Required:
Current Barre instructor certification from a recognized training organization
CPR certification
Professional liability insurance
Strong understanding of anatomy, movement principles, and safe exercise instruction
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Preferred:
Ballet or dance background
Experience teaching group fitness classes
Passion for lifelong learning and professional development
Alignment with Ember's philosophy of whole-body wellness and community
Onboarding + Training
New instructors will complete Ember's onboarding program, including:
15 hours of personal practice and observation
15 hours of student teaching
